Scientific Forecaster Discussion
000 FXUS64 KOHX 150135 AFDOHX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Nashville TN 735 PM CST Sat Dec 14 2019 .UPDATE... FOR EVENING DISCUSSION. && .DISCUSSION... Radar imagery and surface obs this evening show some light rain and drizzle has developed across much of the area ahead of a cold front current moving across our northwest zones. This light rain and drizzle will likely persist this evening until the front sweeps it east of our area around midnight per the HRRR, so have added a slight chance pop to account for this. Also added patchy fog to the area overnight as dewpoint depressions are already on the low side, although the northwest winds behind the front will help to alleviate this somewhat. Rest of forecast is on track. && .AVIATION... 00Z TAF DISCUSSION. VFR CIGs at BNA/MQY/and CSV will give way to MVFR and IFR CIGS overnight. There could even be some patchy fog and LIFR at the TAF sites around sunrise but confidence is not high enough except at CSV. The MVFR CIGS at CKV will also become IFR. It looks like CIGs could improve to VFR tomorrow after 15Z for a few hours. && .OHX WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... NONE. &&
