The tranquil weather continues for much of this week with
seasonable morning temperatures and above average highs. Morning
inversions will continue with minor air quality impacts. High
pressure weakens by mid-week leading to increased cloud cover and
cooler daytime temperatures for the end of week.

Little change in our day-to-day weather continues as an upper
level ridge remains positioned across the western U.S. This week.
This will keep winds light and temperatures mild across the
region with high temperatures staying about 10-12 degrees above
season averages. Overall daytime highs will be in the mid/upper
60s through the work week with low 60s by the weekend.

We will also maintain a prolonged period of high clouds across
the region as upper level moisture from a low north of Hawaii
streams across the periphery of ridge across through the West
Coast. That low will weaken and eventually make its way across the
Sierra by Thursday. This system will likely not produce
precipitation however it should provide some cooling and
increasing winds across the Sierra ridgetops Thursday.

Ensembles maintain an inland trough early next week digging
across the Great Basin. The deterministic GFS continues to be the
most aggressive with this feature and less so in the gefs and ec
ensemble. Even with the most aggressive outcome of the GFS, it
doesn't pan out to much precipitation at all due to its drier
inland track. Overall, looking like more of clouds producer with
an increasing wind potential by Monday. Fuentes

VFR with light surface winds and increasing mid and high level
clouds through midweek. Some areas of light turbulence possible
across the Sierra Tuesday afternoon with moderate turbulence
possible on Thursday with Ridgetop gusts around 30-40 knots.
