Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin Florida
823 PM EDT sun Oct 20 2019

conditions are quiet across the forecast areas this evening as the
remants of Nestor continue to move away from the region off the
mid-Atlantic coastline. Expect conditions to remain mostly dry
through the overnight...with an increase in mid-level clouds
moving south to north through the peninsula. This increase in
clouds is associated with the northward retreat of the front that
pushed through the region at the end of Nestor. As this boundary
shifts back to the north during Monday, expect a few showers to
develop over the eastern Gulf of Mexico...eventually spreading
onshore. Monday does not look to be a washout by any means, but
those with outdoor plans/activities should be prepared to Dodge of
few raindrops from a passing shower or two.

VFR conditions prevail across the region this evening, a band of
mid-level clouds (bases 5-8kft) over SW Florida slowly shifts
northward through the overnight bring ceilings into most
terminals. These VFR cigs will likely lift north of krsw/kfmy
early Monday morning, but are expected to hold across west-central
Florida for much of the day. A few scattered showers are also
expected to break out during Monday morning, although the
potential for heavy rainfall or thunderstorms looks low. Winds
light/variable overnight become light southeast Monday morning and then
SW 6-10kts in the afternoon.

winds and seas continue to relax across the eastern Gulf of
Mexico late this evening. Conditions will remain generally quiet
overnight, but will we will a weak warm front drift northward into
the area overnight and Monday morning. This boundary will likely
result in a few showers breaking out during the day on Monday.
