Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming north 20 to 25 knots with gusts to around 30 knots. Rain early in the evening...then showers likely in the late evening and overnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet building to 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
Thursday
Northeast winds to 30 knots with gusts to 35 knot gales. Showers likely early in the morning...then showers in the late morning and afternoon. Waves 10 to 14 feet. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.

Warning which is in effect from 10 am Thursday to 10 am EST
Friday.

* Wind and waves: during the Gale Warning, expect sustained
winds up to 29 knots from the south with gusts up to 38
knots. The largest expected significant waves will be 11 feet
with a potential maximum wave height of 16 feet.

* Timing: the maximum winds are expected around 1 PM EST
Thursday with the largest waves expected around 4 PM EST
Thursday.
