Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots. Freezing spray. Numerous snow showers. Waves subsiding to 3 to 6 feet occasionally to 8 feet.
Tonight
West winds 15 to 25 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots by midnight. Heavy freezing spray. Periods of snow showers. Waves building to 7 to 10 feet occasionally to 13 feet.
Wednesday
Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots. Heavy freezing spray. Periods of snow showers. Waves building to 8 to 12 feet occasionally to 15 feet.

greater expected, and may rapidly accumulate on vessels.

* Where... portions of central, eastern and Western Lake Superior.

* When... from 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening to 7 PM EST /6 PM
CST/ Wednesday.

* Impacts... operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of stability.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on
their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area
or conduct mitigation.
