... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to
midnight EST tonight...

* what... periods of freezing drizzle and light freezing rain
expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze up to a tenth
of an inch.

* Where... central and eastern Vermont, along and east of the Green
Mountains.

* When... from 2 PM this afternoon to midnight EST tonight.
Freezing drizzle will develop across south-central Vermont
during the mid-afternoon hours, and spread northward by late
afternoon. Periods of light freezing rain are expected this
evening.

* Impacts... developing icy travel conditions are possible mid-
afternoon through late this evening. Developing icy roads could
impact the evening commute.

* Additional details... .temperatures will warm above freezing
overnight with strengthening south to southeasterly winds. The
threat of icy conditions is expected to end by midnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Please allow extra
time to travel late this afternoon and this evening across central
and eastern Vermont.

... Areas of freezing drizzle and slick travel possible this evening...

Areas of drizzle with pockets of freezing drizzle will develop
across parts of southern and eastern Vermont by late this
afternoon and expand into portions of northern Vermont and New
York by early evening. This will lead to the formation of a light
glaze, especially across the deeper mountain valleys of Vermont
and northern New York. Use caution if traveling across these
areas early this evening, as conditions can change quickly when
encountering these pockets of freezing drizzle. The threat for
icing and slick travel should end by early Saturday morning.
