Hi everyone, Astro here. I know it's been a while since I've last posted, and I know all of you have wondered why. Well...maybe not all of you. Yes I have been busy thanks to college, but I have actually withheld my blogs from here while waiting for a friend to join WU. Now that she has, I shall resume my blog writing activities, however, college will probably lengthen the time between posts, it'll depend on how busy I am and how much I feel like writing. Anyways, this poem came to me while lying on top of my college bunk bed, the first three stanzas came and I could not resist letting them go without writing them down. Three days later and here I am. Hope you enjoy.
The grass is green.
The sky is blue.
And I truly like you.
We are so alike,
According to everyone and God,
We are two peas in a pod.
If you don’t mind,
May I ask for a date?
I hope it is not too late.
I care for you so much,
Like caring for a tender flower,
Your life has given me power.
When I talk to thee,
Sometimes I worry.
What if she doesn’t like my story?
But, I shouldn’t worry around you.
Because, though my rhymes may be cliché,
I know that you want to stay.
I hope you love me as I do,
I can’t imagine a world without someone
Like you that is so cool and fun.
So, therefore this poem is for you;
A person who is so gentle,
Yet to me has been monumental.
P.S. In case you were wondering, this is not written towards any specific female, otherwise there would be a name associated at the top. :)
