Hello everyone, there is some very interesting weather in store for Middle TN today, July 27. First of all, it marks 1 month to my birthday...both a yay, and a reminder that I need to get my Eagle Scout project done real quick.
Anyways, the NWS predicts a high of 96, and TWC has been predicting a high of up to 100. Due to recent rains, and the severe weather that will follow later, relative humidities will be rather high, and heat indices will be over 100 degrees. Please limit outdoor exposure time and drink plenty of water.

THE UPPER 60S AND LOW 70S WILL DRIVE HEAT INDEX VALUES INTO THE
LOW 100S SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THIS MEANS THAT WHILE THE MERCURY WILL
ONLY READ 94 TO 96 DEGREES...IT MAY FEEL MORE LIKE 100 TO 105
DEGREES. PLEASE TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT YOURSELF
IF YOU NEED TO BE OUTSIDE SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
EACH YEAR...A NUMBER OF FATALITIES OCCUR NATIONWIDE DUE TO
CHILDREN ACCIDENTALLY BEING LEFT IN VEHICLES DURING HOT OR EVEN

As the evening approaches, a threat of severe weather will present itself. Here is the SPC Outlook:
Figure 1. For reference, Nashville is just within the yellow, and most of Middle TN is as well. The edge of Middle TN and West TN marks the edge of the SLIGHT risk.
Percentages for any and for significant severe weather:
Figure 2. The moderate threat is the 45% area, so my relatives in Columbus, OH will need to pay a close attention to the weather up there as well.
As always, pay attention to any warnings and watches from the National Weather Service. You can follow them on FB, and Nashville's Twitter Handle is @NWSNashville. This blog is not intended for authoritative-based weather information.
Should be interesting tomorrow, thanks for reading!
