''Take on Me"..

By: Patrap , 1:55 AM GMT on August 31, 2010

We're talking away
I don't know what
I'm to say I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, OK?

Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two

So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But that's me stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK.
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two

Oh the things that you say
Is it life or
Just a play my worries away
You're all the things I've got to
remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway

Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two

Tears, tears at the waters edge
Hey little sister give us laughter instead
Tears for the teacher, from the eyes, for her soul
This restless spirit takes a long way back home
Like the wind, you are free
Just a whisper I hear you, so talk to me
Oh, I believe, aye do aye
Say brother sisters, see your brothers in the sky
Neighbour, neighbour, don't be so cold
It's only glory from the story untold
Ah-ooh, oh I believe, aye do aye
Say brother sisters, see your brothers in the sky, oh-oh-oh
Neighbour, neighbour, don't be so cold
It's only glory from the story untold Ah-ooh, ooh Mm, yeah
Big fire, on top of the hill
A worthless gesture, and last farewell
Tears from your Mother, from the pits of her soul
Look at your Father, see his blood run cold
Like the wind, you are free
Just a whisper, I hear you, so talk to me
Oh, talk to me, Oh talk to me, Oh talk to me Oh, come on now, come on
now
I believe, aye do aye
Say brothers sisters, see your brothers in the sky
Neighbour, neighbour, don't be so cold
It's only glory from the story untold Ah-ooh
I believe, aye do aye
Say brothers sisters, see your brothers in the sky
Neighbour, neighbour, don't be so cold
It's so much glory from the story untold
Ah-ooh, ooh I believe, I believe, I believe

So throw it down, Cleveland rain
The queen of love has flown again
To seek her daughter
Who must lie beside the thief
Whose golden tongue she will believe
Defies the order, ohhh

Ohh, that is why
Ohh, that is why

Shall we dance and never stop
Take my hand and stop the clock
From turning over
And spirit weave and spirit bend
In the move that has no end
That we must follow

Ohhhhhhh
Ohh, ohh

Show me your eyes
Oh, light of the son
Touch me with fire
My mind is undone
All life conspire
My freedom has come
I drift through desire
My wonderful one

When you do what you do
I can never, never, never
Let you go
When you feel the way you feel
You can never, never, never
Let it show

Show me your eyes
Oh, light of the son
Touch me with fire
My mind is undone
All life conspire
My freedom has come
I drift through desire
My wonderful one

Oh, hoh-hoh, ah ah-ah,
Mmm oh oh-oh, oh ohhh ohhh hohhh

So throw it down, Cleveland rain
The queen of love has flown again
To seek her daughter
Who must lie beneath the thief
Whose golden tongue she will believe
Defies the order, oh yeah yeah yeah

That is why
That is why
That is why
Oh yeah, that is why

Caught out running
With just a little too much to hide
Maybe baby
Everything's gonna work out fine
Please read the letter
I pinned it to your door
It's crazy how it all turned out
We needed so much more
Too late, too late
A fool could read the signs
Maybe baby
You'd better check between the lines
Please read the letter, I wrote it in my sleep
With help and consultation from
The angels of the deep
Once I stood beside a well of many words
My house was full of rings and
Charms and pretty birds
Please understand me, my walls come falling down
There's nothing here that's left for you
But check with lost and found
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
One more song just before we go
Remember baby
All the things
We used to know
Please read my letter
And promise you'll keep
The secrets and the memories and
Cherish in the deep
Ah -
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote

Pat, thanks for posting that NHC Hermine Forcast Track on Dr. Master's blog. My daughter just moved from FL panhandle to Lubbock TX. She may see some tropical effects before we do this season !

RE: Weather radio, thanks for your response. Agree with tornado warnings. Lived in NW Ohio for 30 years and we had many come through our area with remarkably little warning. Again, thanks.

Patrap: Perhaps a dumb question, but why a weather radio? I am preparing kits for this season as it is the first we will spend in South Florida. Our daughter delivered our first grandchild, lives in Delray Beach as do we, and we are staying to help. But again, why a weather radio? If we elect to evac it will be early on. If we elect to remain, well we will sit. I'd love a reply. Thanks, Tom

A NOAA Radio is for the ones inland with the Tornado threat,or Local Warnings issued During the Land falling hurricane. Gustav had a lot of Tornado warnings and they are very timely when one is in the area that they occur.

Hi Pat!

Hope you and yours are well in NOLA!

I was wondering if it would be alright to link up to your blogsite on mine for your complete Hurricane Preparedness information? I've got so many maps of Earl and now Fiona that I'm running out of room in my header.

With Earl heading our way this Friday and not knowing how far inward it will travel, I just want to help alert those in our Eastern Seaboard who might need this important information.

Have a good evening and will await your response.

Patrap,

I have lurked for 5-6 years, consistently... I am also from (born and raised) Uptown N.O. Currently living in Ocean Springs, MS but moving "home" to Uptown by Christmas. Just wanted to know where you disappeared to? I hardly recognize the blog posters except for the "old" timers, few as they may be. Glad Storm, Kman and few others I follow are still there. Miss your N.O.humor. I lost my home, my business and all of my investment property to the "B hatch from hell." Hope you are around soon. Scared to come home and excited at the same time. Side post... Lost my Mom at Touro during Saints/Mardi Gras mania and just sold her last home at the corner of Jefferson and Camp. The screaming blue one that is now yellow???
