When to plant what & how in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama.
April is the last month for North FL to plant the spring veggies & the one month window for many of them. More summer fare is hitting the dirt too, just about all the winter veggies seeds should get packed away til fall. Central FL is about done planting most spring plants & starting the summer garden. South Florida is done planting spring fare & only planting summer plants. * means last month to plant.
North FL Plant all beans (last month for pole* & Bush* beans), cantaloupe*, corn*, cucumbers*, eggplant, okra, southern Peas, peppers*, Sweet Potatoes, pumpkins*, summer squash*, tomatoes*, watermelon & turnips.
Central FL ..Plant~ All beans*, cantaloupes*, okra, southern peas, sweet potatoes, watermelon, Gourds & broomgrass.
South FL Plant ALL beans*, southern Peas, sweet potatoes, okra, watermelon ,Gourds & Broomgrass.
27th-29th Barren Days. Do No Planting.
30th Favorable Day For Planting Beets, Carrots, Turnips, Radishes, Onions, And Other Root Crops.
Warming up. Occasional thundershowers.
