I'm a ham radio operator, and I love weather! I love to study hurricanes, and severe weather interests me. I'm located on Halls Mill Rd.

It started off today as a very nice day, but then the afternoon showers and thunderstorms moved in. We are looking now at some rain hanging around through some of the late evening hours, and might just get a little more rain before it's all said and done.

Right here off of Halls Mill, we are experiencing some thunder and rain now. Looking at the radar, it appears that we are in for some rough weather through the PM hours, so keep those weather radios ready and the flashlights nearby.

It was a beautiful day on the Gulf Coast. Temps were warm, but we had a partly cloudy sky, and now it is moving in to a beautiful Saturday night.
Watching the tropics, especially invest 94L. I think it will be interesting to see what this system can do, if anything, before crossing the Yucatan. Don't think we'll have to worry about it here in our area, but you never know with these things.
