What is the law? US Immigration Law-defined What does it mean? Little.
Well, yep forget about it! The US Federal Government doing "anything" substantial about illegal immigration just isn't going to happen. No fence will be built and not much else either. Like all other "unfunded" federal mandates, the issue and the "buck" will be passed to each state to decide for themselves what they want to do and pay for. The FED is NOT going to do anything - neither elected party, nor POTUS, nor Congress.
AND HERE'S WHY ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION: The US Constitution Only Delegates the Power Over Immigration or Asylum to the States
I-69 public hearing draws large crowd
The Tribune ^ | March 3, 2008 | Bonnie McKeena
Heated comments flew around the room as more than 175 citizens gathered to voice their opinions at the TxDOT open house and public hearing on the I-69/Trans-Texas Corridor held at the Humble Civic Center on Feb. 28, 2008. Congress designated I-69 as a high priority corridor in 1991 and again in 1998. In 2002, TxDOT unveiled the Trans-Texas Corridor project to accommodate Texas' future transportation needs. The TTC is a part of a 4,000-mile system of rail lines, truck and car lanes and concentrated utility routes to improve international and intrastate movement of goods and people from Canada to the...complete article.

Neil Diamond had it figured out some years back and sang about it! He tried to tell us, but apparently not many were listening. They're "Coming To America" - it's been happening and it's going to continue!
Here it is below, take a look and really listen!
The only way one can describe what we are enduring is called an "invasion" - an act of war, an assimilation, a theft of our culture and way of life!" The President (any of them) was sworn to protect our people - that's not happening anymore, not like it should at least. While we've been busy in the Middle East, we've left the back door wide open and we're getting robbed blind! God knows who/what else is making their way through to here - nukes, viruses, etc. Over 40,000,000 have come in the last few decades. Many are legitimate and participate in our system legally and pay taxes! But, there are estimates upwards of 20,000,000 illegals with at least 1,500,000 new illegals coming each year now! Who are we kidding? We can't stop that, not without a revolt from us and getting help from the President and the military. By 2050 (or sooner) they are expected to be the "majority" in this country.
Combine the costs of illegals with the war costs, the trade deficits and our insatiable appetite for consumption and credit, then it's easy to see this country is facing nearly insurmountable odds! More money is going out than we can possibly tax in revenues. On top of that oil prices are consistently passing the $100 per barrel price and was near $106 this week and the per gl price is expected to be $3.50 before summer. In addition, the Federal Reserve has doled out an additional $30 billion to banks for lending - that only means ONE thing - INFLATION. Prices will continue to go up!/ We can't place tariffs on imports for a couple of reasons: (1) we (consumers) couldn't afford the goods, (2) our educational system has become so warped we do little manufacturing, (3) other nations would revolt against us delivering inadequate products (already happening), or find other markets.
To add insult to injury, now we're farming out technical and social services to other countries. America has become a nation of consumers, producing little or nothing. No jobs means no money, leaving "would be consumers" not able to afford anything. Gasoline, food and clothes are just the basics. The first things to go will be the things we can do without such as our savings, that meal at the fancy restaurant, the new car, new toys and vacations. THEN, the sad part, second jobs become necessary to make ends meet(many already do). And, that means less time with family, more divorce, more problems, neglected children and drugs - all conveniently supplied by our (were) neighbors to the south. From there it just goes further and further downhill! Doing without some of these things already? Get the picture yet?
Can we do anything? Here's one viewpoint, but I'll have a few more suggestions further in the blog: How to Stop the Flood of Illegal Aliens BY: Tom DeWeese - this is a very "compelling" read! Some of you will understand it right away why this won't happen. If not, you should get a good understanding near the end of the article. For me, it's quite obvious.
ID CARDS for illegal aliens. PLUS, the Mexican government’s matricula cards are now accepted as a form of ID at 74 of the nation’s 9,000 banks. Illegal aliens, who have already broken our immigration laws by entering the country illegally, can cash checks and open bank accounts. AND the VCHIP coming soon as a part of the NAU, North American Union, to remove personal liberties and does away with the US Constitution, all moving to one-world government (click on the youtube link above).
It is a frightening and yes, eye opening account of the failure of our government to protect us. Why you ask? Every border agent knows that for all of the persons captured coming across our border, tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands slip across (according to the report quoting interviewed border patrol estimates in August of 2006 -- they do not capture between 70 and 90 percent of all those crossing the border illegally). We too can do the math.
If the border patrol and ICE (formerly the INS) agents have captured tens of thousands of so called Special Interest Aliens -- many of whom are members of terrorist organizations or people receiving documentation from Venezuela, then the actual numbers missed is in the hundreds of thousands.
Plenty of grist for the American housed Jihadist program. Note the term OTMs -- it means Other Than Mexican nationals -- typically South American or Middle Eastern or Caribbean transients using Central or South America and Mexico as their route into the U.S.:
1. 30,147 OTMS apprehended in FY2003, 44,614 in FY2004, 165,178 in FY2005 and 108,025 in FY2006. The implication of double, triple or up to nine times the number who slipped through. SEE MORE HERE-be sure to scroll down the page past the map.
Reading this list of findings is extremely concerning. Intelligence experts point to the unknowns surrounding this data and shake their heads. One of our contacts believes we are only seeing 1 tenth of the problem in this data. The report also points out that if a terrorist wanted to smuggle in a weapon of mass destruction, they would use the very high paid Coyotes associated with the Drug Cartel's high value cargo smuggling operations, those with extremely sophisticated methods of crossing and transport at both ends, those with very low capture rates. They are extremely expensive yet no one doubts the ability of terrorists to fund such high value crossings.
As Ollie North says in his piece, this situation poses a clear and present danger to the security of the United States. MILNET believes something must be done IMMEDIATELY to counter this problem.
IAATS: SITE FOR TRACKING ILLEGAL ALIEN ACTIVITY - nice site.
WE MUST DISLIKE OUR OLDER AMERICANS!
5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused. We are NOT going to grant them an extension.
However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, and have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) training at our expense, etc.
WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE......OR WE MUST REALLY LOVE TACOS!!!
Don't forget to pay your taxes......12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!
Population is a real issue-complete letter.
Buried in the Free Press was an item noting that the U.S. population is expected to top 450 million by 2050, and the increase will primarily be driven by immigration ("Hispanic population might triple by 2050," Feb. 12). On the following day, a story about the ongoing drought in the South quoted a water resources expert as saying, "Until the last 10, 15, 20 years, we always had plenty of water. Then we had this acceleration of people and development." ("Historic drought is spreading in Southeast," Feb. 13). Drawing a connection between these two items isn't rocket science. If water shortages -- and other forms of resource depletion, not to mention issues such as congestion, sprawl, and the devouring of open space for development -- are problems now, what will our situation be when we have half again as many people?
NORTHCOM Furthers NAU Police State Agenda-complete article.
The criminals in the U.S. government are continuing the push for a militarized North American Union police state. According to an announcement on U.S. Northern Command’s web site, an agreement has been signed between U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and Canada Command (CANADACOM) that allows the military from either nation to support the armed forces of the other during a civil emergency. This agreement helps to further erode the sovereignty of both nations by allowing a foreign military to support that nation’s military during any type of civil emergency. Essentially, Canadian military forces would be allowed to support U.S. military forces during a declaration of martial law. This is just another step towards the formation of a North American Union martial law apparatus which USNORTHCOM unveiled with the public release of their Vision 2020 document. The Vision 2020 document outlines plans for USNORTHCOM to seek closer ties with various military institutions, government bodies and private entities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico leading up until the year 2020.
HERE is the press release from Northern Command in its entirety.
I'd like to say thanks to those that participated, read, posted in the previous Illegal and legal Immigration - rethinking policy blog. Your entries were quite informative and I learned a great deal from your posts, opinions and interests. It's not my intention to sound pessimistic in this blog; so, please think of it as an optimist's look at realism. LOL.
RETHINK and RETOOL: The overwhelming numbers coming to this country illegally is really almost unimaginable. I think it would cause an immediate revolt and action demanded if we really knew who and what was coming into this country - by that I mean more than we already know which is bad enough. It's got me wondering just how many Mexicans are left in Mexico to cross the border illegally. Is there anyone left there to run their country? Yes, of course, the beneficiaries - the socialist Mexican government who depends on the US economy and US aid to keep their country propped up.
Aside from the illegal alien aspect, I'm concerned about the drug traffic, terrorists and other crime. I'm not sure what we can do about all that and how we're going to cope with the vast changes that are and will be taking place in the very near future; but, it probably is a good idea to know some Spanish. Learn some basics at least. The crime rate is going to soar further considering the drugs and the fact that our prison system is over-burdened as it is. Detention and deportation will become a thing of the past unless the federal government and the military get involved. I don't know how one generally feels about weapons, but a gun permit and a gun is probably not a bad idea either. As illegal activity grows the need for self-protection will become paramount. Some other good steps will be to grow your own garden vegetables and fruits. Become as liquid as one can and be ready to improvise quickly. Relocation away from sanctuaries and other less desirable geography is an idea worth considering. Policy participation could be helpful - write letters, join an effort. Maybe, just maybe, in 10 or 20 years, if we actually start doing something now, we might be able to make a difference! But, if you’re waiting on the federal government to do anything about illegal immigration, you’re sadly mistaken!
Thanks in advance for reading and participating! :)
