...on my hands and knees! Ain't that tuff enough?

NOTE: I think it's important that we don't lose track of the size of these figures being thrown around as they are so casually now! So, consequently, I'm extending them out in long form instead of abbreviated to not trivialize them. THESE ARE HUGE, HUGE NUMBERS! And, imo, need to be taken considerably more seriously!

BLOG RULES: Simple - Keep it absolutely civil, especially towards fellow bloggers. And, don't get heavy on the partisanship - it's quite obvious that corrupt, petty, inept, greedy, power-lustful politicians are plentiful on both sides of the aisle. It's ok to take jabs at them - either party, any official or candidate; but, leave the total "blame game" out of this - it's ALL of them, everyone! If you think otherwise, then you probably don't want to bring it in here!

Illegal FED laundering exposed

By: moonlightcowboy, 3:54 AM GMT on March 05, 2009

YOU SHOULD READ THIS STORY just out in the Washington Times! HOORAH! It's ABOUT TIME the media started talking about this!

MLC <------------tips hat to WT and WSJ! Best news piece to come out in awhile!

The potentially larger AIG problem

The political hue and cry over the millions in bonuses for AIG execs has hit fever pitch but there are major questions about what AIG has done with far larger portions of the federal bailout money it's received over the past year than the $165 million in bonuses given to derivatives traders.

The Wall Street Journal this morning characterized this as money-laundering by the U.S. government to surreptitiously give aid to foreign-based financial institutions, such as Societe General, the France-based European financial services company, which has received $11.9 billion from AIG since last September.

“Given that the government has never defined 'systemic risk,' we're also starting to wonder exactly which system American taxpayers are paying to protect. It's not capitalism, in which risk-takers suffer the consequences of bad decisions. And in some cases it's not even American. The U.S. government is now in the business of distributing foreign aid to offshore financiers, laundered through a once-great American company,” the Journal wrote.

The BIG FELLA is back AGAIN...and AGAIN as I knew he would be! Wait until you hear how much money these crooks are going to want next!

I'm surprised there hasn't been more outrage, more media coverage about AIG giving billions of tax dollars away to bailout foreign banks! There must be a lag! And now, foreign companies, too (9th paragraph)! Are we really cognizant of what's happening? There is nothing (that I know of) in the constitution that obligates the citizenry to be responsible for bailing out any foreign entity. Where is the Justice Department? We are now subsidizing foreign banks and foreign businesses? These failing foreign banks and companies are the responsibility of their governments-not ours!

Now, once again, AIG has passed out more taxpayer dollars in bonuses! This is absurd. It's an "in-your-face" kind of thing. We're already using tax dollars to fund top-paid execs. Their FP arm should not be getting anything. They didn't earn anything. They L O S T everything and many should be incarcerated. GIVING BONUSES? Geeeesh! Is Cassano getting a bonus? They were already paying him $1,000,000 per month to ruin the company! It's time to FIRE CEO LIDDY! He can't run the company. What company? There is no company any more - it's now a poorly run government entity at best.

Why is the US taxpayer bailing out these foreign banks? The US taxpayer is no more responsible for bailing out their banks who made risky, bad decisions than foreign countries are responsible for bailing out any US banks! Further, I believe it's an act of treason, eroding our protections guaranteed by the constitution. AIG used billions of taxpayer money to cover foreign bank losses in the following countries (list known so far):

France
England
Denmark
Scotland
Spain
Switzerland
Germany
Ireland
Netherlands
