Live in Richmond VA. I'm a recent high school graduate who is looking to pursue a career in meteorology. Winter storms and the tropics fascinate me.

There is a storm that just came off of Africa, but it has to reach the antillies before it develops because a storm developing into a TD at the beginning of hurricane season off the coast of Africa isn't favorable, but we'll keep a close eye on it as it approaches the Carribbean.
The next area we are focusing on is the S carribean and there is a well orgainized system right off the coast of Panama. This is a very favorable area for development and could develop in the next 24-48 hours.
Showers and thunderstorms continue to spread across the Bahamas. It has some convection with it and has the potential for slow development over the next 5 days.In the N atlantic the remnants of barry stall and it's causing some torrental downpours over Bermuda
At the Antillies we have some showers. But because the easterly winds are blowing the system East,no development is
possible with this system.
Have a great weekend!
