The Flood Warning continues for
the Fox River near New Munster.
* At 9:00 PM Monday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Thursday evening.
* Impact... at 12.2 feet... water is up to the first floor levels of
some homes in the town of Wheatland and Village of Salem lakes area
along Riverside Drive and Shorewood drive.

locations. The 7 day river forecast takes into account past
precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and predicted
precipitation for the basin. Precipitation is for the next 24 hours
in the future from April through September and for 48 hours in the
future from October through March.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Des Plaines river at Lincolnshire, or from Townline Road in
Libertyville downstream to Palatine Road in Prospect Heights.
* Until late Thursday night.
* At 645 PM Monday the stage was 14.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will fall below flood moderate flood
stage of 14.0 feet by Wednesday afternoon and below flood stage by
Thursday evening.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... low-lying trails in half-day Forest preserve
are inundated. Structures threatened along IL-22 (half-day rd) just
east of the river. Residences inundated near US-45 (milwaukee ave)
and Deerfield Rd. Deerfield Rd is inundated near the river.
Structures west of US-45 (milwaukee ave) near Deerfield Rd are
threatened.

downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills.
* Until Friday evening.
* At 630 PM Monday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will fall below moderate flood stage of 9.0
feet by Wednesday evening, and below flood stage by Friday
afternoon.
* Impact... at 10.5 feet... IL-32 (grand avenue) is inundated.

downstream to US-41 in Gurnee.
* Until Friday morning.
* At 630 PM Monday the stage was 9.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below moderate
flood stage of 9.0 feet by Tuesday evening and below flood stage
by Friday morning.
* Impact... at 9.5 feet... water reaches homes on Russell Road between
the river and Kilbourne Road.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 10 am CDT Tuesday.

* Visibility... areas less than one quarter mile.

* Impacts... very limited and fluctuating visibility will lead to
potentially hazardous travel, including potentially during the
Tuesday morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
