The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Nebraska City.
* At 9:45 am Saturday the stage was 22.5 feet... or 4.5 feet above
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 22.5 feet by this
afternoon, and then begin slowly falling by Sunday morning.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 PM CDT this evening
through Sunday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska, including
the following areas, in southwest Iowa, Fremont and Page. In
southeast Nebraska, gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, and
Richardson.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday morning

* thunderstorms should develop between 5 PM and 9 PM this
evening, then continue overnight. These storms may produce
high rainfall rates, leading to rainfall totals of 1 to 3
inches, with locally higher totals possible. Rainfall of this
magnitude may lead to flash flooding.

* Rapid rises of rivers, streams, and low water crossing could
occur. Roadways may become flooded.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
