Northeasterly winds with gusts up to 50 mph are expected for St.
Lawrence Island and Diomede late this afternoon and continuing
into early Thursday as a strong low moves into Bristol Bay. These
winds will cause elevated surf for the north side of St Lawrence
Island as well as for Diomede.

Residents should move possessions well above the normal high tide
line in preparation for this event.
