... High rip current risk through 6 am Wednesday...

* what... dangerous rip currents.

* Where... along east facing reefs of Guam... Rota... Tinian and
Saipan.

* When... through 6 am Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.

* Additional details... on some beaches... such as ritidian and gun
beaches on Guam... the high risk of rip currents could extend to
north facing reefs. On obyan beach in Saipan... the high risk
could extend to south facing reefs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Swim near a lifeguard if possible... and never swim alone. If
caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the
current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If
unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
