Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:38 PM CST Dec. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
Monday...

* what... widespread light snow or mixed wintry precipitation will
transition to light freezing rain early tonight. The freezing
rain will taper to patchy freezing drizzle late tonight and
early Monday. Total snow accumulations will be one to perhaps
one inch north of Interstate 64, maybe 2 inches in northern
Wayne, Edwards and Wabash counties. Elsewhere in the advisory
area, expect ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch
but little if any snow.

* Where... the advisory includes portions of southeast Missouri
and southern Illinois, generally along and north of a line
from Van Buren Missouri to Anna and Mt. Carmel Illinois.

* When... through noon CST Monday.

* Impacts... plan on slippery Road conditions, especially on
bridges and overpasses. Bridges tend to freeze first because
of lack of ground warmth beneath them.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
