The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a frost
advisory, which is in effect from 1 am to 8 am CDT Monday.

* Temperature... low to mid 30s, with the lowest temperatures away
from Lake Michigan where mid to upper 30s are likely.

* Impacts... frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if
left uncovered.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A frost advisory means that widespread frost is expected.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.





Flood Warning
Issued: 10:05 AM CDT Oct. 13, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Fox River near New Munster.
* At 9:00 am Sunday the stage was 11.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Tuesday evening.
* Impact... at 11.5 feet... water is in the yards of some homes in the
Village of Salem lakes and town of Wheatland areas. There are 3-4
inches of water over 77th street in the town of Wheatland.

precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and predicted
precipitation for the basin. Precipitation is for the next 24 hours
in the future from April through September and for 48 hours in the
future from October through March.

downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills.
* Until this evening.
* At 930 am Sunday the stage was 7.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
this afternoon.
* Impact... at 7.0 feet... low-lying areas near the river are inundated.

the Des Plaines river near Russell, or from IL/WI state line
downstream to US-41 in Gurnee.
* Until Tuesday morning.
* At 830 am Sunday the stage was 6.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 7.1 feet by early Monday.
* Impact... at 7.0 feet... water flows into surrounding farm and marsh
land near the river.
