... Rain transitioning to snow Tuesday...

Rain will transition to snow, beginning mid Tuesday morning as
colder air filters into eastern Kentucky. This will continue
through the day, leading to light snowfall amounts of generally
1 inch or less. Higher snowfall accumulations will occur across
southeast Kentucky, especially in the higher terrain along the
Virginia border where total snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3
inches will be possible. Higher mountains, particularly Black
Mountain, may see locally greater amounts before the snow comes to
an end Tuesday night into Wednesday.
