Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 9:53 PM EST Dec. 13, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania, including
the following areas, in New Jersey, Hunterdon, Mercer, Morris,
and Somerset. In southeast Pennsylvania, lower Bucks and upper
Bucks.

* Through Saturday morning.

* Periods of heavy rain will continue overnight into early
Saturday morning. Amounts of up to two inches are possible. This
could lead to small stream as well as main-Stem flooding. Poor
drainage and low-lying flooding is likely.

* The risk of low-lying and small stream flooding will increase
overnight into Saturday. The risk of main-Stem flooding will
increase late Saturday into Saturday night. Please refer to the
advanced hydrologic prediction service (ahps) website for both
Passaic and Raritan basin crest forecasts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
