... Coastal flood advisory remains in effect from 7 am to 1 PM EST
Saturday...

* what... up to one foot of inundation above ground level
expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways.

* Where... coastal ocean, ocean, eastern Monmouth, western
Monmouth, Middlesex and southeastern Burlington.

* When... from 7 am to 1 PM EST Saturday.

* Impacts... in Middlesex County, minor Road flooding is possible
in Woodbridge township, Perth Amboy, Old Bridge township, and
South Amboy. In Monmouth County, minor roadway flooding is
possible for coastal locations. Minor roadway flooding is
possible on the barrier islands and along the back bays of
Ocean County, and in tidal areas of southeastern Burlington
County.

* Additional details... heavy rain is possible, especially
overnight tonight into very early Saturday morning, which
could further exacerbate tidal flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

... Flood Watch in effect from 9 PM EST this evening through late
tonight...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of central New Jersey, northern New
Jersey, and southern New Jersey, including the following
areas, in central New Jersey, eastern Monmouth and western
Monmouth. In northern New Jersey, Middlesex. In southern New
Jersey, coastal ocean, northwestern Burlington, ocean, and
southeastern Burlington.

* From 9 PM EST this evening through late tonight

* periods of heavy rain can be expected overnight. Amounts up to
two inches are possible.

* The risk of small stream flooding will increase tonight and
persist into Saturday morning. With expected amounts, poor
drainage and low-lying flooding is likely.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
