The Flood Warning continues for
the Congaree River at Congaree National Park-Gadsden.
* From this afternoon to Thursday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 4 am Saturday the stage was 14.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage this afternoon and

crest around 16.7 feet Monday morning.
The river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 17.0 feet... the access Road to the Sandy Run subdivision becomes
flooded. The lower boardwalk in the Congaree National Park becomes
flooded by Cedar Creek.
* At 15.0 feet... flooding begins in the Congaree National Park. This
will begin to produce flooding of portions of the lower boardwalk.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman.
* Until Tuesday evening... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 4 am Saturday the stage was 114.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 115.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage this morning and
crest around 118.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
The river will fall below flood stage by Monday night.
* At 119.0 feet... extensive flooding occurs in the Congaree National
Park. Some area farmland is flooded. Minor flooding occurs at the
Carolina Eastman facility.
* At 115.0 feet... flooding occurs in low lying areas of the Carolina
Eastman facility and at the Congaree National Park.

The flood advisory continues for
the Congaree River at Columbia.
* Until Sunday afternoon.
* At 4 am Saturday the stage was 9.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to crest at 11.8 feet tomorrow
morning.
* Advisory stage is 10.0 feet.
* At 13.0 feet... flooding occurs in flood prone areas near and
downstream from Columbia. Flooding also occurs over much of the
Cayce and West Columbia river walk.
* At 10.0 feet... flooding occurs in flood prone areas near and
downstream from Columbia. Flooding also occurs on parts of the
Cayce and West Columbia river walk.

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 7 am this morning to
1 am EST Sunday...

* winds... west 15 knots with gusts up to 25 knots.

* Timing... strongest winds will be this afternoon through the
evening.

* Impacts... strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will
create hazardous conditions for small craft.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
