The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a
* Flood Watch for
the Mississippi River at Burlington
* until Saturday morning.
* At 9:00 PM Saturday the stage was 14.0 feet and slowly rising.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage Wednesday morning... and continue
rising to 15.3 feet Thursday. Fall below flood stage Saturday
morning.
* This forecast is based on routed flow from upstream in combination
with forecast rainfall. Consequently there is limited confidence
in the river reaching flood stage.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late Sunday
night...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast Missouri, including
the following areas, in Illinois, Bureau, Hancock, Henderson,
Henry IL, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, and Warren.
In Iowa, Cedar, Des Moines, Henry IA, Iowa, Jefferson,
Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, and
Washington. In northeast Missouri, Clark and Scotland.

* Through late Sunday night

* a prolonged period of heavy rain is expected through Sunday
evening. 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected with isolated higher
amounts near 4 inches possible.

* Be prepared for rapidly rising water levels and possible
flooding if you are near a river, stream, or low lying area.
Be ready to move to higher ground if heavy rain develops.
