Watches & Warnings

Freeze Warning
Issued: 10:51 AM CST Nov. 11, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Freeze warning in effect from 4 PM Tuesday to 10 am CST
Wednesday...

* what... several hours of sub-freezing temperatures are expected
Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, with low
temperatures in the lower to middle 20s Wednesday morning. In
addition, gusty winds will result in wind chills in the teens to
lower 20s.

* Where... portions of central and south Mississippi and northeast
Louisiana.

* When... from 4 PM Tuesday to 10 am CST Wednesday.

* Impacts... frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
