Heat Advisory
Issued: 3:00 AM CDT Aug. 18, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CDT
this evening...

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a heat
advisory, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CDT
this evening.

* Temperature... maximum heat indices between 110 and 115 degrees.

* Impacts... risk of heat-related illnesses, including heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that heat indices of 110 degrees or higher
are expected for at least two hours. If you must be outside this
afternoon, reduce your activities and take frequent breaks
preferably in an air conditioned area. Wear lightweight and
light-colored clothing. Drink plenty of water even if you do not
feel thirsty.
