... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...

* what... north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
expected.

* Where... in Vermont, Grand Isle, western Franklin, western
Chittenden and western Addison counties. In New York, eastern
Clinton and eastern Essex counties.

* When... from 6 am to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* Impacts... gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down resulting in isolated power
outages.

* Additional details... strong and gusty northerly winds will
develop in the Champlain Valley this morning. Wind gusts from 40
to 50 mph are expected through much of the daylight hours today
before lessening early Thursday evening. The strongest gusts
will occur near the Lake Champlain shore and over the open
waters of the lake, especially across southeastern Essex,
southwestern Chittenden and western Addison counties where
enhanced channeling will occur.
